Heidelberg, who have not hear in his live from Heidelberg?
The
name Heidelberg stands for the world-famous Castle and a picturesque Old Town in
breathtakingly beautiful surroundings. It stands both for Germany's oldest
university and modern research facilities. For historic streets and a lively
university atmosphere. For total relaxation and beautiful walks. It also stands
for the longest and one of the most attractive pedestrian zones in Europe.
And why is the rhine so beautiful? In the course of time poets and bards from
all over the world have composed hymns of praise for this unique river landscape.
Hardly any other has been sung about so often. It is flanked by vine gardens
whose wines are world-renowned and imposing castles on the hillsides strive
heavenward enveloped in myths and legends. A cultural region whose colourful
past has left its mark everywhere.
Our
program romantic middle Rhine bicycle tour
- 01. June Heidelberg
According to Heidelberg, you have a diverse selection of trains, and if you
arrive by car, we are happy to assist in the selection of a car park for the
duration of your bicycle tour. Flexible according to your arrival to
Heidelberg, we welcome you at the hotel with a refreshing drink while you
get to know the other participants of this tour. We then explain the
specifics of the bike tour, answer your questions and provide further
information on the highlights along the path. You will then receive an
in-depth instruction in the technology of the bike.
Then the afternoon is all about the Old and Historic Heidelberg, during a
city tour, you will be happy to introduce our native guides in the history
of Heidelberg.
- 02. June Heidelberg - Zwingenberg 45 kilometers
We leave Heidelberg and take the first piece along the Neckar river, where
we follow after some time the route along the hem Odenwald. The mild climate
here is not for nothing that brought the name "German Riviera",
figs and kiwis thrive here, and still others Südländische fruit. Along the
way you greet old castles and romantic villages, and over Heppenheim,
Bensheim, we reach our present goal for the day, the oldest city on the
mountain road, Zwingenberg.
- 03. June Zwingenberg - Mainz 47 kilometers
After a hearty breakfast, we leave the mountain road and reach the Rhine at
Gernsheim. Here we use the ferry, then continue on the left side of the
Rhine downriver to our bike tour. In Oppenheim, you have the opportunity to
visit the wine museum in order to gain a first impression of the culture of
wine production on the Rhine. When we arrive on the afternoon of Mainz,
you've closed the opportunity to visit the cultural and historical sites,
the Gutenberg Museum, Mainz Cathedral, the Stephen's Church with the windows
designed by Marc Chagall remains nothing to your wishes. And our city tour
will give you the historical highlights.
- 04. June Mainz - Rudesheim 43 kilometers
The first stretch of cycle path from Mainz to Bingen takes us through
meadows and orchards, and in Bingen you have the opportunity to attend this
year's Garden Show to the variety of flowers will certainly enchant you, too.
On the rest of the bike trail, you have the opportunity to visit the castle

- 05. June Rüdesheim - Koblenz 44 kilometers

possibilities to visit within easy distance of the highlights of Bonn. How
about a visit to the birthplace of Bonn's most famous son, Ludwig van
Beethoven
- 07. June Bonn - Cologne 38 kilometers
Today we reach after a short, varied journey, the Old Historic City of
Cologne, you will immediately capture on arrival. We reached Cologne on the
Rhine promenade, and the sight of the Cologne Cathedral, we have arrived at
the heart of Old Town. After you have refreshed themselves in the hotel a
little bit, waiting for the city with all its history and culture to be
explored. Roman past at every corner, local color along with culture, with a
sweet tooth for a visit to the chocolate museum, the day will not be enough
to see everything and do here. Our native guide will explain the historical
highlights, and of course the Cologne Cathedral, in depth during a city
tour, which we then conclude in a brewery in Cologne. Let yourself be
captivated by the lifestyle of Cologne with a visit to a traditional brewery
with typical food and drink simply Cologne, the Kolsch.
- 08. Juni Cologne
After breakfast you can expect native guide to show you the historical and
cultural highlights in a 3-hour tour to. This of course includes a detailed
tour of Cologne Cathedral. In the afternoon, you can then use varied, why
not visit the Roman Germanic Museum, or for a sweet tooth, the chocolate
museum. Cologne has something for everyone and every taste.
