3 River Bicycle Tour along Rhine, Mosel and Lahn

5 Days

A combination on three rivers, you stay in a pretty hotel in Koblenz directly on the Rhine, and you ride on three days along three Rivers Rhine, Moselle and Lahn. Enjoy the old castles on the Rhine, enjoy the wine from the Mosel and enjoy the nature from the river Lahn

The River Rhine
Why is the rhine so beautiful? In the course of time poets and bards from all over the world have composed hymns of praise for this unique river landscape. Hardly any other has been sung about so often. It is flanked by vine gardens whose wines are world-renowned and imposing castles on the hillsides strive heavenward enveloped in myths and legends. A cultural region whose colourful past has left its mark everywhere.

The River Moselle
The Mosel valey is one of the most delightful river landscapes of Germany. The river rising in France clears in multiple turns and loops its way by the Rhineland-Palatinian Mosel wine hills.
The beautiful winegrower villages and small towns at the cycle track wait for it to be discovered. The realm castle Cochem in the holidays country Cochem, castle Eltz and castle Pyrmont with Treis Karden, the honour castle and the castle Thurant to the Untermosel with Kobern Gondorf are any from the history highligths along your way.
Well tasting are the Moselwine and winegrower sparkling wines and much taste the specialities of the region to the wine restaurant, which is called "Weinstube" and "Straußwirtschaft".
The wonderful Mosel bicycle tour begin in Koblenz at the German hits a corner (Deutsches Eck ), where the Mosel flows into the Rhine. Mother Mosel meets Father Rhine. The end from this daily tour is flexible, in Treis Karden or Cochem, you drive back to Koblenz with a day river cruiser and can enjoy the view on the wine hills from a ship.

The River Lahn
A day to enjoy the culture and history from the old cathedral in Limburg, the flair from the health resort Bad Ems, and Nassau.
With numerous loops and turns the river Lahn flows by the hilly and forest-rich landscape of the nature park Nassau. As cultural and architectural high points you experience the small town Diez and those world-wide well-known health resort city Bad Ems. The end point from your tour today is Limburg, with the old cathedral, and after your visit you drive back to Koblenz flexible with train in 50 minutes.

Our program 3 River Bicycle Tour

• Day 1 Your flexible jorney to Koblenz.
  The town of Koblenz first came into being as a Roman fortification situated on the confluence of Rhine and Moselle. The so-called 'Deutsche Eck' (German Intersection) is not only the point at which the two great romantic rivers merge, but also one at which tradition and progress converge, a place where living history and Rhine and Moselle conviviality come together. In Koblenz directly on the rhine promenade is your hotel for the tour. In afternoon or evening welcome drink, talking about your tour, answering your questions. Meeting with your rent bicycles, short installation in the technology, and a test with the bicycle aling the promenade, seat, frame, breaks, gears, that all things are ok.
  In evening perhaps you enjoy the view on the River Rhine from the hotel terace with a food dinner or you make a evening walk to the old part from Koblenz and enjoy a glass of wine in a wine taverne.
  
  
• Day 2 Bicycle Tour along the River Rhine between 45 and 70 kilometres
  The first bicycle tour and River Rhine leads you along the reach history from the romantic Rhine valley.
  First will be Boppard, and Boppard has a lot to offer in many respects both to residents and guests. In the course of history, all kinds of people have felt at home here, whether Celts, Romans or Franconians. All of them have left their mark on the 2000 year-old history of the town and at every turn there is witness in stone of their presence. The charming, unmistakable natural beauty of Boppard and its surroundings as well as the numerous monuments to its culture and history evoking memories of the different epochs of its history are called to mind as you take a walk through the town. In the Valley of the Loreley are much old castles, and perhaps with your castle ticket you visit once and see a little from the life style and culture from the middle age. The valley from the rhine is now very smal, only the rocks left and right, the rhine, the train and the street. "A ship of stone, eternally afloat upon the Rhine, and eternally lying at anchor before the town of Pfalzgrafen" - thus Victor Hugo - this is the castle, Pfalz, formerly Pfalzgrafenstein, and one of the rarest of castle creations in the world. The countryside here along the river valley with the little town of Kaub and Burg Gutenfels above it has still maintained much of its romantic beauty. In Bingen, the city with the mouse tower, you can let end today your bicycle tour, and you drive back to Koblenz flexible with train in 45 minutes. Or you cross the river Rhine with ferry boat to Rüdesheim, and enjoy the flair and the wine in the "Rüdesheimer Drosselgasse". And from Rüdesheim you can drive back flexible with train to Koblenz in 45 minutes.
  
  
• Day 3 Bicycle Tour along the River Lahn between 45 and 70 kilometres
  The way leads you along the river Lahn to the old and pretty citys Bad Ems, Nassau and Limburg. A day to enjoy the culture and history from the old cathedral in Limburg, the flair from the health resort Bad Ems, and Nassau. With numerous loops and turns the river Lahn flows by the hilly and forest-rich landscape of the nature park Nassau. As cultural and architectural high points you experience the small town Diez and those world-wide well-known health resort city Bad Ems. The end point from your tour today is Limburg, with the old cathedral, and after your visit you ride back to Koblenz flexible with train in 50 minutes. But also you can let end your tour today flexible, by your wish, in Bad Ems, Diez or Nassau, allways you have the option to drive back to Koblenz with train.
  
  
• Day 4 Bicycle Tour along the River Moselle between 45 and 70 kilometres
  In the morning you follow the river moselle today, your bicycle tour today is between 45 and 70 kilometres. On your way you find the way to Castle Elz, a wonderfull pretty old castle. This is only a option, then you must ride uphill. Ok, who ride uphill can later also ride downhill, and in the afternoon you arrive Treis-Karden. Here will leav the ship, what bring you back to Koblenz, near from 4.30pm. The ship will arrive Koblenz at 8pm, and the landing place from the ship is direct outside from your hotel. Tickets for the ship you can order direct and at hoc on the ticket office in Treis-Karden. When you feel good, and want to ride longer today, so you arrive the next the old village Cochem, on top with the old castle Reichsburg. And Cochem have a verry pretty old part with much old houses and wine taverns. Your way back to Koblenz is in 60 minutes with train
  
  
• Day 5 Koblenz and depature
  Today after breakfast will end now your three river tour, and from the train station Koblenz you have all national and international train connection. We will say good bye and thank you, and hope you have enjoy the ride, the nature and the culture.
